Day in the life of a Gentoo

 Penguins were an important  reason for this trip. Thankfully Debra agreed to edit the video into more palatable clips!

  So here is some of the life of a Gentoo Penguin.  When you see them sitting on the nest, you’ll notice it is basically just a pile of small stones. But those stones are rare and they protect them

So if you see one penguin walk up to a sitting one and they start snapping you can assume the newcomer has evil intent. We were lucky to get to see one stand up and expose the egg. 

They poop a lot.  They don’t seem to mind being covered in it but they do seem to delight in bathing.
