Ｗｈｅｎ ｗｅ ｆｉｒｓｔ ａｒｒｉｖｅｄ ｉｎ in Singapore, I saw a Schul on the map. Apparantly there are two on the island, one still in use. Larry`s business partner is married to a Jew and he mentioned they had just built a six story addition with a kosher grocery and a restaurant. It is and orthodox congregation dating back to the 1830`s I think founded by Jews from India, best I could make out. We took a walk over and gave ourselves a tour, and enjoyed the AC in the small grocery.
I have just spent the last half hour trying to upload pictures on this laptop that we are borrowing, but to no avail, please plan on reareading the entire blog next weekend when pictures will be added.
