This is an iPad shot from 35,000 feet. I've seen a fair amount of desert but nothing like this. And it went on and on. Then over Ethiopia and by the time we got to Kenya it was dark.

Lots of real estate
At around 4 in the pm and I looked out the window. Last I had seen we had passed over Germany, Poland, went around Vienna and had headed into Greece. Got cloudy and I read for awhile and then opened the window shade:
